Potato Print Monsters!

Jenny Lacey at the awesome, online, kids magazine, lmnop, asked me to create a story about potato prints for their 12th issue. Since the magazine would be coming out right before Halloween, I decided to develop some potato print monster T-shirts that would be easy for kids and their parents to create. The great photos above were taken by Ian McPherson for the issue.

I had a blast working on this project. Here are some of my “in-progress” potatoes:

My 6-year-old friend, Ashley, helped me test out the process and make sure it was do-able for kids. She created this great shirt (below). She explained that her monster is also a grandpa so he has a hat and a cane. Kids are awesome.
